We are still only at the beginning of the new year, but some exciting titles already came out and blew us away. Some titles are just waiting to be released later this year, and we can't wait. The most anticipated titles by gamers all around the world are on this list. Let's see what to expect from 2020.
Half-Life: Alyx is a prequel to the events of the second game of the series. It will be a story-led shooter game set in the famed City 17. This city is run by an intergalactic species called Combine, which rules in the communist-style. The game will be in the VR category, and until now, the genre hasn't had a prevalent game title in their ranks.
This open-world RPG game will be released in 2020 by CD Projekt Red – the same company that released “The Witcher 3.” It looks like it will be the most densely populated, open-world city we have ever seen in the gaming industry. You have to navigate through the crime-filled metropolis guided by a hologram of Keanu Reeves to find the people who wronged you. The release of this game was postponed by five months, so we're already getting restless, but we'll have to wait until September.
Doom Eternal is a sequel to the 2016 Doom reboot. You once again have to fight the demonic forces with the help of devilishly powerful arsenal and accompanied by horrid animations. Doom Eternal will bring a few new features to the table, such as:
- Play as a demon
- Improved multiplayer games
- Travel to other worlds to kill demons
- Grappling hooks capable of skewering demons
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Paradox Interactive will release the sequel to one of the most brilliant PC Games. The new game will be set in modern Seattle, which is populated by the many creatures of the night. You will play a newly-turned vampire, and throughout the game, you have to find out how you were turned and feast in the dark city.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
It has taken the Mount & Blade developer TaleWorlds eight years to produce a sequel for the PC game where you have to fight in large-scale battles and build and protect your kingdom. Some of the new features are more detailed dialogues, more realistic combat, updated game engine, and should your character die. You can bear children who will take the throne after your demise. The new game will be released in March 2020, so be on the lookout.
If you were a fan of Tomb Raider, you would like the fact that the same team designed the Marvel's Avengers game. It takes place after the Avengers are disbanded, but again, they are needed to save the world. This third-person, action-adventure game has an original cinematic story, and you can play it in both single-player and co-operative mode.
